ECA Vaud is a public, non-profit institution in Switzerland entrusted with a comprehensive mission: prevention, rescue and emergency response, and insurance of buildings and movable property within the Canton of Vaud.

ECA Vaud organizes, equips, and trains fire brigades, while managing the alarm system and emergency calls. Operation of the 118 emergency call center (24/7), provision of equipment and training to approximately 5,000 firefighters in Vaud.

In December 2024 they decided to introduce Sharpi in the Canton of Vaud. They have a call volume of 165.000 pr. year. Sharpi was installed on a Windows embedded platform, with Java support.
