The technology gives our operators the ability to filter out all background noise during a 1-1-2 call. This makes a crucial difference when we need to quickly help citizens in critical situations. Citizens are often in a chaotic and noisy environment, where this technology enables quick collection of critical information. For the operators themselves, the technology can reduce excessive noise exposure, which, as we can observe, leads to a better working environment and a more sustainable workplace.

Recently, I received a call from a woman on a hiking trail in Skaftafelli to my workstation (PSAP). It was so very windy and therefor difficult to hear the caller. With a single press of a button in our system, I managed to silence the wind noise to be able to hear what the woman was trying to tell me. After inspecting pictures from The National Park Ranger in Skaftafelli, who had arrived and consulting the doctor at our 112 center, we decided to dispatch a helicopter because of serious injuries. So the technology and the development of our system enabled the helicopter to take off in much faster than usual
