Following the successful development of Sharpi 1.0, we have secured €3 million in seed funding from a few positioned scale investors and Crowberry Capital, a prominent Nordic venture capital firm with offices in Iceland, Denmark, and Sweden.
Crowberry Capital is a leading VC firm that invests in seed and early-stage technology companies across the Nordics. Their mission is to support entrepreneurs who create companies that are both commercially successful and socially impactful.
The coming year and a half we are going to expand our customer base to around 200 call centers and installations all over the world – where communication is critical – resulting in reduced stress and saved lives. Our long term goals are far more ambitious: to ensure clear speech in any audio device in the world.
The system is based on deep insights in the human auditory system, gained from world-leading scientific research in neuroscience and psychoacoustics. CEO Mette Carstensen has spent years specializing in the auditory brain during her degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark. She is leading the company’s product development in the intersection between Auditory Signal Processing, Machine Learning, and Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
Just as the human brain learns to recognize and isolate voices, Sharpi has been trained on millions of audio samples to do the same — only faster and with greater accuracy. It dynamically isolates and clarifies the speaker’s voice while suppressing the noise elements of the audio signal.
Though the concept may seem simple, the underlying algorithms are highly sophisticated and technically advanced.
Sharpi 1.0 is an advanced voice-extraction technology designed to isolate human speech from extreme background noise, enabling clear communication in the most demanding situations.
Originally developed to reduce stress and improve clarity in emergency services, air traffic management, and military communications, Sharpi 1.0 is built with a single mission: to save lives.
The system is fully operational and has demonstrated its effectiveness in real-world deployments.
Sharpi 1.0 is commercially available and has been successfully deployed in Denmark for two years – running 24/7, and is also running in Iceland, Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland.
Our user base continues to grow rapidly as organizations adopt the solution.
Our goal is global expansion. Every emergency and air traffic control center worldwide could benefit from Sharpi 1.0.
Sharpi 1.0 is already in use and delivering proven results in emergency communication hubs. The opportunity to scale across global emergency infrastructure is substantial.
With tens of thousands of flight control centers worldwide, Sharpi 1.0 is poised to enhance communication clarity across the aviation sector.
Every emergency center and air traffic control tower could potentially benefit from Sharpi.
Sharpi 1.0 is ready for deployment in the defence armed forces, where accurate voice recognition and clear communication in the field can be mission-critical — and life-saving.
Any military force set-up could potentially benefit from Sharpi.
Sharpi 1.0 supports personnel such as paramedics, ambulance crews, firefighters, and police officers. By reducing communication stress and increasing speech clarity, Sharpi 1.0 can positively impact hundreds of thousands of first responders in the field.
